Tips for Back or Neck Pain

Neck pain:
A popular saying: someone or something is “a pain in the neck.” Serious neck pain is something that should not be taken lightly. For millions of people around the world, neck pain is much more serious problem. Neck pain varies from minor to serious pain that involves the spine and vertebra. The issue of neck pain is very common during winter season.

Lower back pain can range from mild, dull, annoying pain, to persistent, severe, disabling pain in the lower back. Pain in the lower back can restrict mobility and interfere with normal functioning.

There are several causes of pain including:

– Incorrect position of sleeping while using a lot of pillows or wrong selection of mattress
– Use of a computer screen for hours, sitting in same posture
– Any infection
– Obesity due to increased weight on the spine and pressure on the discs
– An accident through an automobile or during a fall, injury or trauma
– Muscle stretches poor muscle tone, tension or spasm
– Heavy lifting
– Herniated (slipped) disk
– Stress producing factors and smoking

Tips of preventing neck pain:

– need to change your beds mattress after six months,
– preventing from neck strain, use contoured pillow and keep a small pillow between your knees to avoid lower back stiffness
– stretch your neck and walk repeatedly when using a computer
– choose a firm backed chair while sitting,
– keep your neck muscles flex and warm during winter
– use massage of mustard oil

Tips for Preventing Back Pain:

– Safely lift any object while proper use of legs and bending
– Avoid twisting motions while lifting heavy weight objects
– drink almost 6 to 8 glass of water a day
– maintain a balanced diet for proper weight
– Sleeping posture should be relaxing
– Keep doing exercise to warm up your body
– Use massage therapies to keep your muscles relax
